The TRON Show is the annual show organized by the TRON Forum (also including the T-Engine Forum) in Tokyo in December. Forum members demonstrate their products and concept prototypes, based on technologies evolving from the TRON Project. The Forum itself demonstrates some of the research and development work that they have done in the past year. It is a grand show where you get a good idea of the things that are happening in the world of TRON, T-Engine and the UID Center. There will be two main focuses at the show this year – “Next Generation Real-time System Technology Exhibition” (focusing on T-Engine) and “Ubiquitous Computing International Symposium” (focusing on the UID Center).
This year, the show will be held from Dec 5 (Tue) to Dec 7 (Thu) at the Tokyo International Forum. As always, a number of companies are expected to showcase their products and solutions for the T-Engine. I expect that there will be a number of international visitors also. There will also be a number of seminars and talks where you can learn about the T-Engine and Ubiquitous ID initiatives. There is an admission fee of 1000 Yen (approx. US$10) which is waived if you pre-register. The main website for the TRON Show 2007 is at: http://www.tronshow.org/index-e.html The website is quite informative and you can find a map of the exhibition and more information about the exhibitors.
TE@Onghu is at the show, so you will hopefully be able to read a few reports on this site about the demonstrations there. You’re invited to contribute your thoughts about the show to this website.
Personal Note: I was there for the show last year and will be there again this year. You’ll find me in the Viometrix booth, which will be part of the Asian Oceania Pavilion at the TRON Show. If you’re keen, I’d like to meet with you, so please drop me an email at mohits@onghu.com to let me know if you’re going to the show and can meet up and have a chat there.
